Anchor Family & Community Services is a nonprofit dedicated to creating pathways to healing and resilience for families with limited access to resources. We provide trauma-informed, culturally affirming mental health and wraparound support services that restore dignity, strengthen connections, and inspire hope. Our goal is to build safe, resilient, and thriving communities where every individual has the opportunity to heal, grow, and flourish.
Our mission is to create healing pathways within communities facing limited access to resources. We aim to inspire hope, foster strength and connectedness, build safe, thriving communities through comprehensive, accessible mental health support services. We remove barriers to care, uphold dignity, and provide families with the resources and guidance to heal and grow.
Far too many families struggle to access consistent, affordable, and culturally affirming mental health and wellness services due to financial, systemic, and social barriers. We exist to remove these barriers, restore dignity, and create pathways to healing, hope, and resilience for individuals and families who have been historically underserved.

OUR MISSION
OUR VISION
We envision a world where all families are equipped to live healthy, resilient, and productive lives. Healing begins with access to high-quality mental health and support services that meet people where they are. Our programs restore hope, strengthen individuals, reconnect families, and nurture thriving communities.
OUR STORY
Anchor Family & Community Services was birthed out of the frontline experiences of mental health clinicians and community leaders who witnessed the deep inequities in access to care. Too many families face barriers such as high costs, lack of insurance coverage, transportation challenges, and stigma around mental health. These obstacles leave individuals and families struggling without the support they need to heal and thrive.
We founded Anchor to close this gap by providing trauma-informed, culturally affirming care that removes barriers and restores dignity. By focusing on wellness, family stability, and community connection, we are committed to creating spaces where hope is renewed, families are strengthened, and the Black community—alongside other underserved populations—can flourish for generations to come.

Our Approach
At Anchor Family & Community Services, we believe that healing happens best when care is delivered with compassion, dignity, and cultural awareness. Our approach is:
-
Trauma-Informed – We recognize the impact of trauma and provide services that promote safety, trust, and empowerment.
-
Culturally Affirming – We honor the lived experiences of Black families and underserved communities by providing care that respects culture, identity, and heritage.
-
Family-Centered – We strengthen the family unit as the foundation of resilience, stability, and long-term community wellness.
Our Values
-
Dignity – Every person deserves to be treated with respect and compassion.
-
Equity – We work to remove systemic barriers so families have fair access to care and opportunity.
-
Hope – We inspire individuals and families to see possibility, not limitation.
-
Resilience – We equip communities with the strength to overcome adversity and thrive.
